Intermediate Girls Volleyball Season

Written by:Callie and Zanyece

This year, the Intermediate Girls Volleyball team had an amazing season! We worked really hard and put huge effort into all the exhibition games we played. At the area tournament, we came second in our pool and faced Legacy P.S. in the semi-finals. Unfortunately, we lost 25-7, but we still never gave up. We practiced four days a week throughout the season.  After practicing everyday, we acquired a ton of new skills and played really well as a team. We were competition for all the teams we faced and fought to be the best. Thanks to all the parents who drove students, dropped them off and came to watch the games. A special thanks to Mrs. Mah for helping the team and to Ms. MacGillivray for coaching us. Most importantly, thank you to all the players on the team for working so hard! The girl’s volleyball team consisted of Kyera, Callie, Zanyece, Tiyah, Fiza, Kiana, Emily and Taylor.
Great Job Girls!

Intermediate Boys Volleyball

The Intermediate boys Volleyball team had a great season this year. The boys were a dedicated group who practiced multiple times a week and saw much improvement in their skills over the course of the season. At our area tournament at Legacy Public School the team was matched up with two very competitive teams; Little Rouge and Legacy. In both games the boys worked together to effectively communicate with one another while attempting to make aggressive and strategic plays. Although we did not move forward into the semi-final round the team should be proud of how far they have come this season and hold their heads up high.  Congratulations to Josh M., Ryan J., Vincent L., Rhavin N., Jeremy V., Idrees S., Isaiah C., Ammar H., Harvir S., Ethan C. and Tai M.

Looking forward to next season,
Mrs. Moller and Ms. Schreiber
